Moodle 2 Upgrade Documentation

Quiz Module

  • The Quiz naming and setup section has been simplified and layout has been improved
  • We can now change the number of pages our quiz uses in the edit quiz page and can easily control where our page breaks appear
  • It is now possible to have a students user profile picture displayed while attempting a quiz - this could be handy for invigilators to ensure the right students are present
  • Students are prompted to review their answers prior to submitting for marks and are further provided a quiz navigation block that displays a legend representing correct, incorrect, and flagged responses.
  • A Moodle Administrator can move question categories to program level to enable question to be shared in other courses of that program (email dlsupport @ vcc.ca to request this)
  • Graphs have been added to some reports to give us a quick overview of the results
  • The Responses report lets you download all students' answers to all questions. (Formerly an "optional extra")
  • The new Statistics report, giving much more detailed information, has replaced the old Item Analysis report.

Changes to the quiz module are spread throughout the setup pages and therefore the following videos cover many elements that have not changed as well as those new and improved features.
